This is a Dept 56 54941 Uptown Motors Ford. The Mustang was put officially on sale at the New York World's Fair on April 17, 1964, at a price of just $2368. Thirty-five years later Department 56 puts you into the driver's seat of a sporty rendition. Mustangs that were manufactured before September of 1964 carry the model title of 1964 1/2. Our 1965 model is parked in the showroom on a platform that actually rotates. This Ford dealership is illuminated and it is constructed of hand painted ceramic. It includes a separate illuminated Ford sign. This piece was retired in 2002 andis quite hard to find.
