Lionel 219 Vintage O Missouri Pacific Alco AA Diesel Set VG

The Lionel Missouri Pacific FA No. 219 was issued uncataloged for Sears one year after production ceased on the No. 205 in 1959. Produced on a BLUE painted body with WHITE heat-stamped lettering. spacer There was no horn in the power unit that was equipped with a single vertical worm drive Type IIC motor that powered two axles that utilized Magnetraction. This engine had a two position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from the top of the body. Both units have a sheet metal chassis that are equipped with solid non-operating couplers, but only the power unit has a light. There are no variations. All of the Lionel Alco FA units are designed to work on the tighter radius of O27 Gauge track, but they will run equally well on O Gauge track. This car features die-cast metal sprung trucks, operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. Both locomotives show spots of paint wear, chips, and discoloration commensurate to age. When tested, the powered A unit moves and lights up, but does NOT respond to directional commands from the button or the control handle very well. There is a sort of red sticky residue present on the surfaces of both items. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down.
