This is a Lionel 2331 Vintage O Virginian FM Trainmaster Powered Diesel Locomotive #2331 from 1955-58. This is the early version with a black stripe. The 2331 Virginian FM Trainmaster is a realistic and scale-like replica of the real life Trainmaster. Lionel‘s version of this locomotive has a well-deserved reputation for being a top-of-the-line diesel with excellent durability and strength. The 2331 was the second FM Trainmaster introduced by Lionel in the postwar era -- the first being the 2321 Lackawanna from 1954. Features include a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating horn, die-cast metal trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, and metal wheels.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. This car has scratches and paint loss all throughout the shell and frame. There is rust on the walkways, metal rail pieces, and other metal pieces. The wheels show heavy run-time. The item shows signs of previous heavy use and storage.
