Lionel 258 Vintage O Tinplate 2-4-2 Steam Locomotive VG
Here is a Lionel 258 2-4-2 Sheet Metal Steam Locomotive from 1941. This was one of the last sheet metal steam locomotives made by Lionel. It features a headlight and reverse unit. Interestingly, the 258 locomotive sometimes comes with a rear truck and sometimes it doesn't.
This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-3: Good based on visual appearance. The smokebox front has been custom painted silver. The rear truck is missing and the wheelsets show signs of wear. The directional switch is rusted and some of the trim parts and rails are tarnished. The locomotive nor lighting works. The original box is not included. Please see my pictures for additional features. Overall condition is Very Good.
