Lionel 3562-25 VIntage O Gray AT&SF Operating Barrel Car w/ Red Lettering - RARE/Box

This is the RARE and hard-to-find Red Lettered Version of the Lionel 3562-25 Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Gray Operating Barrel Car from 1954. The painted gray version was produced in 1954. The gray body style has the easiest and also the most difficult variation to find. The gray body with blue lettering is generally regarded as the easiest barrel car to locate. However, the gray body with red lettering is quite rare. When activated, the ramp in the center of the car vibrates and the barrels shimmy up the ramp to a waiting bin. It is designed to be used in conjunction with a 362 Operating Barrel Ramp. This barrel car features die-cast bar-end trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, and metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. When tested could hear a buzzing, but no movement and being sold as-is. There are a few cracks & broken parts missing from the body of the car. There are many scratches, scuffs & nicks along the body. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included.
