Lionel 3820 Vintage O USMC Olive Drab Flatcar w/Submarine - RARE VG

Here is a hard to find Lionel USMC postwar Olive Drab flatcar with operating submarine from 1960-62. Yes, the submarine actually will operate underwater! It is rubber band powered. You wind up the nose cone to energize it. It has an on-off switch, an adjustable rudder and elevator. This flatcar features a removeable submarine, plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The submarine load has discoloration and is very dirty. There are trim pieces missing from this item. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the flatcar as well as the underframe.
