Lionel 50 Vintage O Motorized Gang Car EX/Box

Here is a Lionel 50 Vintage O Motorized Gang Car. The 50 Gang car is a unique item created by Lionel. It is a small self-motorized unit creating plenty of action on a layout. It has rubber bumpers on each end and when it runs into anything (la track bumper, locomotive, or anything else) it reverses direction. When it reverses, one of the crewman spins around and faces the other side! With the car‘s ability to operate as an independent unit, Lionel soon introduced several other self-motorized units into their consumer line. Products such as the 60 Trolley, 65 Handcar, and 68 Executive Inspection Car are just a few examples. This is a reliable and durable car. With only general maintenance, it has proven to be a solid performer. Standard features include an orange molded body, die-cast frame, 2 stationary crewmen, 1 moveable crewman, and a rubber bumper on each end. Please see my pictures for additional features.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. There are nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The overall appearance of this item would be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning.
