This is a Lionel 51 Vintage O Navy Yard Turbine Powered Diesel Switcher #51 from 1956-57. This is one of the classic motorized units from the Postwar Era. It features an open frame motor, a 3-position e-unit, a die-cast frame, a decorative bell, die-cast trucks, and operating couplers. It can pull 2 or 3 cars.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. This items couplers are bent upward as shown in the pictures. This item has small spots of rusting. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The wheels show average run-time.
