Lionel 51 Vintage O Navy Yard Turbine Powered Diesel Switcher VG/Box

This is a Lionel 51 Vintage O Navy Yard Turbine Powered Diesel Switcher #51 from 1956-57. This is one of the classic motorized units from the Postwar Era. It features an open frame motor, a 3-position e-unit, a die-cast frame, a decorative bell, die-cast trucks, and operating couplers. It can pull 2 or 3 cars.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The window strut is broken This item shows scratches, scrapes, and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item shows rust on the axles and screws. The rails on this item are slightly bent. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included.
