Lionel 59 Vintage O Air Force Minuteman 2-4-2 Gas Turbine Switcher VG

This is a Lionel 59 U.S. Air Force Minuteman Diesel Motorized Unit from 1962-63. This is one of Lionel's colectible motorized units that were produced in the postwar years. The 59 Minuteman is one of the more desirable and slightly hard to find units since it was only made in 1962 and 1963. Features include a die-cast frame, and open rame motor, a 3-position reverse unit, a decorative horn, metal side rods, operating metal knuckle couplers and metal wheels.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. The cab shows some very light hairline cracks. The shell shows some spots of yellow staining. This locomotive shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This locomotive shows rust on the chassis and trucks. The instruction manual is not included.
