Lionel 6-24174 Operating Icing Station & Car Set EX/Box

Here is a Lionel 6-24174 Operating Icing Station and Operating car set. The icing station loads small clear plastic ice cubes into specially designed refrigerator cars. You manually load the 10 ice cubes with the loading chute and then position the reefer car that has a specially designed roof ice hatch so when the little ice man pushes the cube with his paddle, the roof hatch opens on the car allowing the ice cube to drop in to keep that load of fruit in the reefer fresh! It is 11 inches long x 4 inches wide x 8 inches tall. The car has American Refrigerator Transit markings.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. A layer of shelf dust has settled onto the surface of the station. The station shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the base and body. Various sections of the metal hardware on the loader may have rusted. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The ice cubes are included, the figure is as well, however he is missing his head and four ice cubes have been glued to the station. The instruction manual is not included.
