One of the rarest of all PostWar train sets is this proposed companion to the notorious 1957 Lionel Girl's Train Set. Lionel's 1957 counterparts reasoned that if a Girl's Train was being produced headed by a pink engine, logically there must also be a Boy's Train led by the very same 2-6-4 locomotive, except in a bright blue "masculine" livery. In the end, the Boy's Train set program was cancelled before full production could begin. Very few (perhaps as few as three or four sets) of the original Lionel Boy's Train sets were ever made. Don't miss the first production run of this legendary set.
