Lionel 6-51014 O Gauge Red Comet 291W Steam Passenger Train Set VG

This is a Lionel 6-51014 291W Red Comet O Gauge Steam Passenger Train Set. First offered in 1935 by Lionel, this sleek, ultra-modern streamline set is led by a 2-4-2 locomotive stylized after the famous New York Central Commodore Vanderbilt. Dressed in dashing red, the streamlined locomotive with 265T tender hauls two Pullman cars and an observation car at the rear. These handsome passenger cars feature nickel journal boxes, white window trim, four-wheel trucks, and underside air tanks. Included is a #264E 2-4-2 locomotive and 265T tender, two #603 Pullman cars and a #604 Observation car. The locomotive features transformer controlled forward, neutral, and reverse operation, an air whistle, a powerful AC motor, an operating headlight, a metal locomotive body, frame, and trucks, a metal tender body and trucks. The passenger cars feature die-cast metal trucks with operating hatch couplers, metal frames and bodies, illuminated interiors, individually boxed and Prewar Celebration Series packaging. The minimum curve diameter is O-27.
