Here is a Lionel 6-8100 O Gauge Norfolk & Western 4-8-4 Steam Locomotive & Tender #611 from 1981. This engine is a reissue of the classic Postwar 746 and is one of the most popular engines in the MPC Era. Its features include a die-cast construction, an open frame motor, Magnetraction, an operating smoke unit, an operating headlight, electronic whistle and Sound of Steam, and a great paint scheme. The tender is plastic construction and die-cast 6-wheel trucks.

First introduced in the early 20th century, the 4-8-4 to rail yards by storm primarily hauling coal and other forms of freight across state lines in the US and rail-ways in various other countries. While later models would improve on the 4-8-4's limitation, this locomotive still made its place in history as a pioneer of 20th century rail-road industry, and is featured in some museums today as a testament to how far the industry has truly come!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This item displays light scratches and paint imperfections across the body and underframe. Small spots of surface rust are present on some of the locomotive boiler trim pieces. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included.
