This is a Lionel 6-8573 Union Pacific U36B Dummy Diesel Locomotive w/Horn #8573 from 1975. Features include metal handrails, an operating electronic horn, die-cast metal trucks, operating knuckle couplers and metal wheels. It was made as an add-on the #1560 North American Express set from the same year, and only matches the engine included with the set (#8564). This engine was made in very limited quantities and is one of the hardest MPC-era locomotives to find.
