Lionel 6-9218 O Gauge Monon Mail Operating Boxcar LN/Box

This is a Lionel 6-9218 O Gauge Monon Mail Operating Boxcar from 1981. This car is a remake of the postwar Lionel 3494-550 of 1957. To operate this car, you park it over a standard uncoupler which draws down the operating plunger to open the door and the man throws out the mailbag! This boxcar features sliding doors, die-cast metal sprung trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-8: Like New based on visual appearance. The original paint is in great shape, and the rest of the unit displays a like-new overall finish. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included. The previous owner has placed stickers on this item's packaging. Overall condition is Like New.
