Lionel 6520 Vintage O Lionel Lines Orange Generator Operating Searchlight Car VG

This is a Lionel 6520 Lionel Lines Stationary Operating Searchlight Car from 1949-51. The 6520 searchlight car was the first searchlight car produced by Lionel in the postwar era. It is a good representation of a real searchlight car. Soon, every Lionel town had at least one searchlight on the layout. The 6520 is a reliable operating car. It was included in many work train sets as well as being available for separate sale. Finding a searchlight car is easy, however collectable versions will be a bit harder to locate. The light has an on/off switch underneath that can be activated by a Lionel UCS track section. This car features a rotating searchlight, die-cast metal trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item shows signs of previous use and storage. The wheels show heavy run-time and have rust. This item shows scratches and spots of paint loss. There appears to be stains on the item. This item has spots of rusting.
