Lionel 6800 Vintage O Flatcar with Black over Yellow Airplane VG/Box

Here is a Lionel 6800 Vintage O Flatcar with Black over Yellow Airplane from 1957-60. The 6800 Airplane Car is an attractive and popular freight car and was produced for four years in the late 1950‘s. Like most postwar Lionel flatcars with loads, the value with this freight car is the airplane. Locating the flatcar is easy, but locating one with an airplane is difficult. The plane has folding wings. It features a plastic body construction, plastic trucks with metal wheels, and operating knuckle couplers.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The wheels show faint wear and the underframe is tarnished. The plane has faint markings and scratches and the wing's pins are a bit distorted. The included plane is an original postwar piece. The original box is included.
