This is a Micro-Trains 09800202 N Scale GACX 50' Two-Bay Airslide Hopper #46622. Built in the early 1970s, these 50’ two-bay Airslide hoppers with Barber Roller Bearing trucks featured the GATX “Service Driven” logo. These cars were specially designed with an air-permeable layer inside the bays that could help loosen fine-grained commodities that would often settle en-route, like powdered sugar, thus making unloading easier. General American Transportation Corporation, now known simply as GATX, is a large railcar leasing company, with over 122,000 railcars in the fleet.
