This is a Micro-Trains 18100142 N Scale Union Pacific 50' Standard Plug Door Box Car #499194. This 50’ standard box car with 8’ plug door, no roofwalk and short ladders are yellow with red lettering and run on Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1957, it belonged to Class BI-50-2 and was used for temperature-critical commodities and food products. It was repainted several times and finally into the yellow and red “We can handle it” paint scheme of the mid-1970s and was used in revenue through the late 1980s before being retired.
