MTH 11-2005-1 Std Gauge Orange Electric w/PS2 #8E EX

Here is a MTH 11-2005-1 Std Gauge Orange Electric w/PS2 #8. This is made by MTH and is part of the new "Lionel Corporation Tinplate" Line. Loosely based on a New York Central boxcab, the No. 8 was Lionel's lowest-priced Standard Gauge engine. But even this bottom-of-the-line model had flash and charm. Twin headlights allowed for night running, and a pantograph, whistle, and handrails adorned the roof. A brass insert, sometimes painted in a contrasting color, provided the window frames, number boards, and ventilator inserts on each side. Each pilot had flag holders, and shiny air tanks, journal boxes, and springs decorated the frame. This car features include Metal Wheels, Axles and Gears, Stamped Steel Body and Chassis, Baked Enamel Finish, Operating Metal Latch Couplers, Operating Headlight, Bild-A-Loco Motor, ProtoSound 2.0 With Digital Command System, Mechanical E-Unit, Unit Measures:11 1/4" x 3 1/8" x 4 13/16", and Operates On STD-42 Curves.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The couplers are slightly bent. Some of the brass trim shows spots of tarnish. Due to the date of manufacture, the buyer may need to replace the battery. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
