Here is a MTH 20-3023-1 O Gauge West Virginia Pulp & Paper Shay Steam Locomotive & Tender with ProtoSounds 1.0 #12. This unique engine is a model of the geared steam locomotives used by logging locomotives. The pistons are connected to a long drive shaft that is geared to the wheels. They were made this way to be able to run on the uneven track used by logging railroads. This engine features all metal construction, ProtoSounds 1.0, smoke, headlight, and fantastic detail.

This locomotive does not include DCS (Digital Command System) features because it has ProtoSound 1.0. Only locomotives with ProtoSound 2.0 and ProtoSound 3.0 include DCS functions.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-8: Like New. This item has not been tested and is being sold As-Is. This item appears to have been run sparingly, and displays overall signs of very light previous use. The original paint is in great shape, and the rest of the unit displays a like-new overall finish. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down.
