MTH 20-3056-1 O Santa Fe 2-10-4 Texas Steam Engine And Tender w/PS2 #5012 EX/Box
This is an MTH 20-3056-1 O Santa Fe 2-10-4 Texas Steam Locomotive and Tender #5012 with PS2. Features for the locomotive include a die-cast metal body, precision Pittman flywheel equipped motor, constant voltage headlight, illuminated cab interior and operating ProtoSmoke, metal wheels, and front-end coupler. The tender features die-cast metal trucks, an operating knuckle coupler, and metal wheels and axles.
Introduced in 1919 by Baldwin locomotive Works in North America, the 2-10-4 would quickly find itself as a mainstay in railyards all over the world -- being commissioned in North America, South America, Europe, and Africa! The North American models were introduced for the Atchison and Topeka & Santa Fe railways initially, but would find themselves on various other railways as well. The production of these models was briefly halted during the Great Depression in the 1930s, but would see a fresh breath of life again in 1938 with steel production and locomotive manufacturing picking back up. With a handful of these models in a preservation status, this is your chance to get one running on the rail yards again with this masterfully crafted O-Gauge replica!
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The locomotive does not run reliably due to a bad tether and is being sold As-Is. The battery has been replaced with a BCR. The locomotive is missing the cat-walk pieces form both sides of the shell. The locomotive is missing the bell piece. The tender's shell paint is heavily pitted with large spots of rashes and bubbling present. These items show some scratches and spots of paint loss on the shell and chassis. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The instruction manual is not included.
