Operating freight cars, like log and dump cars, can be triggered on any manufacturer's O Gauge operating track section. When activated, the bay rotates up and away from the base to a near 45 degree angle while one side of the bay drops down to slightly below parallel. The combination of the rotating bay and the opening and dropping of the bay's side allows the load to fall out of the bay and onto the side of the track. Prior to rotating back down to its resting position, the bay will shake to remove any items that failed to drop away from the car.
