Here is an MTH 30-1142-1 Reading 4-6-0 Camelback Steam Locomotive and Tender with Protosound from 1999. Features include precision flywheel equipped motor, DCRU reverse unit, operating metal coupler and optionally equipped with protosound, digital sound and train control featuring squeaking brakes, passenger station proto-effects and remote controlled protocoupler by QSI.
This locomotive does not include DCS (Digital Command System) features because it has Proto Sound 1.0. Only locomotives with Proto Sound 2.0 and Proto-Sound 3.0 include DCS functions.
Introduced in the 19th century and further used during the 20th century, the 4-6-0 was a popular model thanks to its reliability and impressive stability when hitting speeds near 100mph. The 4-6-4 also referred to as a "10-wheeler" would eventually find its way in rail-yards around the world from the US to Finland, and even running the Cape Gauge in South Africa!
