Here is an American Flyer 312 Vintage S PRR 4-6-2 Die-Cast Steam Locomotive & Tender, from the late 1940s. It features Die Cast construction, puffing smoke, an operating headlight, 3-position reverse operation, realistic design, and a powerful motor. The K5 was one of AF's most popular steam engines in the early Postwar Era. This is a Type II version with silver lettering, smoke and choo choo in the tender.
Introduced in its prototype form in the late 19th century, the 4-6-2 would take the world by storm at the turn of the 20th century, being seen as one of the biggest innovation in the history of locomotives -- the 4-6-2 would quickly finds its place in rail-yards across the world.
