This is an American Flyer 322 Vintage S NYC 4-6-4 Hudson Steam Locomotive & Tender. The locomotive features die-cast metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, metal side rods, metal wheels and exquisite detail. The tender features die-cast metal construction, smoke unit, die-cast metal trucks, link coupler, metal/plastic wheels and metal axles.
Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!
