This is a American Flyer 334 Vintage S 4-8-4 Northern Steam Engine & Tender. Both items feature die-cast construction, die-cast trucks, and metal wheels. The tender features a link coupler. The locomotive is powered and features a motor.

First introduced in the early 20th century, the 4-8-4 to rail yards by storm primarily hauling coal and other forms of freight across state lines in the US and rail-ways in various other countries. While later models would improve on the 4-8-4's limitation, this locomotive still made its place in history as a pioneer of 20th century rail-road industry, and is featured in some museums today as a testament to how far the industry has truly come!

This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-3: Good based on visual appearance. The previous owner has replaced the tender underframe as well as added decals to the cab that are not original. The speaker is functional, but had low sound quality when tested. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The original box is not included.
